  • February 17, 2012 - 9:40 - Homework 1 - Exercises 1.1, 1.2 and 2.5 (take d = 1,2,3 and calculate MSD). Optional: repeat 2.5 for a self-avoiding random walk.
  • February 17, 2012 - 9:41 - Homework 2 - Simulation Langevin equation: (1) with T=0 and m>0 for various initial conditions; (2) with m=0 and T>0 for various T, R, etc.; (3) with m>0 and compare with previous case. In all cases notice the dependence on the timestep and calculate MSD.
  • March 13, 2012 - 11:40 - Homework 3 - Simulation of Brownian particle in a diffusion gradient D(x) = 1-x^2 and an harmonic potential. Calculate the probability distribution. Use α=1, .5 and 0.
  • March 13, 2012 - 11:41 - Homeworks 4 - Exercises 3.1, 3.2, 3.3 and 3.8.
